The project is run by a partnership of networks: the Social Innovation Exchange (SIX) and Euclid Network. The initiative is funded by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise and Industry.
The SIE initiative is working to connect policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and third sector workers with other innovators from across Europe. It is our goal to become a hub—a meeting place in the network of European networks—where innovative thinkers from all 27 member states can come together to create a streamlined, vigorous social innovation field in Europe, to raise a shared voice, and to propel Europe to lead the practice of social innovation globally.
Social Innovation Europe is about you and your voice. The website is your’s to use. Share news, events, new initiatives, and articles in your own language. Follow the link to find out more about how to contribute.
This site aims to be an indispensible resource providing the latest information on European social innovation—a clearinghouse featuring interviews with prominent innovators, case studies of successful ventures, the latest research, and in-depth analysis from the leading thinkers in the field. Our initiative has attracted a community of high-calibre writers, commentators, analysts and thinkers who are making a crucial contribution to the collective intelligence of European social innovation. Contributors to the site are taking a strong hand in shaping the direction of social innovation across Europe, breaking down silos and raising a unified voice. They are using this site to publicize their ventures, share their research and launch their causes.
Valuable relationships are forming across sectors as policy makers, academics, entrepreneurs and third-sector workers collaborate through SIE to create a common understanding of what social innovation is, and what it can do.
